Relaxing in a Jacuzzi can have a range of benefits on your physical health. This includes muscle and joint pain relief, with the jets dilating blood vessels and helping to ease tension in your muscles. Jacuzzis can also help improve your circulation as relaxing in warm water raises your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure.
There are also multiple benefits to mental wellbeing. While everyone benefits in different ways from the experience, many people feel less stressed after a jacuzzi session. This is because the thermal environment calms your nervous system and reduces cortisol levels. Some studies have shown that a jacuzzi can increase hormones including histamine and serotonin that help you sleep better at night.
Another benefit of visiting the jacuzzi, is that it provides a chance to disconnect and experience time away from screens and distractions. If you’re visiting The Cove Spa with friends or family, it’s a great opportunity to have undivided time together.
Our therapists recommend spending 15-30 minutes in our Vitality jacuzzi and always make sure you stay hydrated. Those who are pregnant or have heart or blood pressure conditions should avoid going into the jacuzzi.
